RENU

RENU is an initiative created by Barnabus that runs life-changing furniture renovation courses for homeless people. Transformed pieces are then sold and the money re-invested into the project. We were tasked with generating some awareness for the fledgling brand – in a sea of charities and furniture stores all trying to do the same thing.

We created a brand campaign that focused on what’s unique about RENU: how the furniture and the person is restored in its workshop. How something as simple as upcycling furniture can transform an individual who’s been sleeping rough. We wanted to showcase this transformative effect in the branding and writing. And over the past 18 months, we’ve firmly established RENU as a charity and a credible furniture brand. So far it’s led to almost £4000 worth of sales online, as well as boosting commissions and event sales.
