Serving Parky Positivity
Living with Parkinson’s can mean you’re constantly subjected to people staring at you because of your tremors and shakes. But imagine being kicked out of the pub because staff think you’ve had one to many. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Helen Fish from Scunthorpe. And at Parkylife. we wanted to take a stand for Helen and all people with Parkinson’s.
The Northwich Beer Festiva seemed like the perfect opportunity to fight a sobering stigma in a way that only Parkylife can. We created an innovative range of beer mats that highlighted and educated the world on the stigmas may Parky people face. Parkulife founder, Matt Eagles, was interviewed on the Good Morning Show on Radio Northwich a few days before the festival. And of course, we sponsored a beer barrel so people could raise a pint - or two - to the brighter side of Parkinson’s.
And the results came pouring in. We reached 164k with our campaign and grew our Parky following by 2%. But most importantly we smashed Parky stigmas with something as simple as beer mats and positivity, which is definitely worth saying cheers to in our opinion.
